Oven Repair — Book a Visit Today

We repair ovens and ranges in homes across Florida, gas and electric, and you can call us and tell us what the oven did. Most calls come in mid-roast on a holiday. The failures repeat: a bake element that cracked and stopped glowing, an igniter too weak to open the gas valve, a temperature sensor drifting fifty degrees off, a control board scorched by a summer lightning surge, or a door latch or hinge letting heat leak out. A visit starts with your description. Then we put a meter on the element, sensor, and safety valve instead of guessing. You hear what part failed and what replacing it involves before any work starts. Salt air and humidity rust terminals here, so we check the connections too.

The oven symptoms we hear most

  • "Oven never gets to temperature" Weak bake element, a failing gas igniter, or a temperature sensor that has drifted.
  • "Everything burns on the bottom" Sensor calibration, broil element cycling wrong, or a control relay stuck closed.
  • "It says F3 and beeps at me" Error code from an open sensor circuit or a damaged control board.
  • "Smells like gas when I preheat" Igniter or safety valve fault. Shut the gas off and call before you use it again.
  • "Door won't unlock after cleaning" Self-clean latch motor or thermal switch stuck in the locked position.

Safe things to check first

Worth a look before you call — sometimes it saves you the visit.

  • 1Confirm the oven breaker is all the way on. A half-tripped double breaker leaves the clock lit and the heat dead.
  • 2Make sure any timer, delay bake, or Sabbath mode is off, because those settings block normal heating.
  • 3Look through the window during a preheat and note whether the bottom element glows evenly, unevenly, or not at all.
  • 4Check that racks and pans are not blocking the vent or resting against the sensor probe in back.

Oven Repair — quick answers

Why does my food cook unevenly?

Usually one heating element is working while the other lags, or the temperature sensor is reading low. Warped racks and a door that no longer seals tight will let heat escape too. We measure the actual cavity temperature instead of trusting the display.

Is a gas oven repair safe to put off?

If you smell gas, no. Turn the supply valve off and quit using the appliance. A weak igniter that eventually lights can dump unburned gas into the cavity first. Call us and we will schedule you promptly.

Can lightning damage an oven?

Yes. Florida storm season pushes surges through house wiring, and modern ovens run on control boards that do not tolerate that. You might see a blank display, phantom beeping, or buttons that trigger the wrong function. Testing the board and wiring sorts it out.

Does my oven need to be pulled out from the wall?

Sometimes. A wall oven usually has to come out of the cabinet so we can reach the rear terminal block and board. Ranges often allow access from the front or through the back panel. Either way we protect the flooring and cabinet faces.

Should I repair or replace an older oven?

That depends on which part failed and the condition of the cavity, wiring, and door. Elements and igniters are routine work. Heavy rust from coastal humidity, or a second and third failed board, changes the picture. We give you the honest read and you decide.

How long does a typical oven visit take?

Most diagnostics run under an hour. If the part is on the van, plenty of repairs finish that same visit. Special-order boards and doors take longer, and we tell you the expected wait before you commit to anything.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Tell us the noise

Describe what you see, hear, or smell. Buzzing, leaking, burning, or nothing at all. The model number helps if you can find the sticker. We'll ask a few questions and book a window that fits your day.

  2. Step 2

    We diagnose in person

A technician comes to your kitchen or laundry room, tests the machine, and finds the part that actually failed. You'll hear what went wrong in plain words, then you decide whether repair or replacement makes better sense.

  3. Step 3

    Repair and retest

With your approval we finish the work and run the appliance through a real cycle before we pack up. Floors get wiped and the packaging leaves with us. You also get care tips for our salt air and storms.

Why homeowners call us

  • North Florida conditionsCoastal humidity rusts drain pans, and salt air chews on dryer vents near an outside wall. Lightning surges kill control boards in the middle of a storm. We see these failures constantly, so we know which part to check first instead of guessing.
  • Independent shopWe aren't tied to any manufacturer. We service refrigerators, ranges, dishwashers, washers, and dryers from most major brands, and our advice comes from what your machine needs rather than a brand sales script.
  • Snowbird schedulesAn empty house hides problems. An icemaker floods in March, or a fridge quits in July and nobody knows. We do season-open checks and season-close shutdowns, and we can coordinate with a neighbor or your property manager.
  • Straight answersSome machines are worth fixing and some are past it. If a repair doesn't make sense for the age and condition of your unit, we'll say so out loud, and you can put that money somewhere better.
  • All major brands, gas & electricIndependent service on Whirlpool, LG, Samsung, GE, Maytag, Bosch, KitchenAid and the rest.
  • Straight answersIf replacing beats repairing, you hear it from us first.
