A dishwasher fails quietly. You open the door and the dishes are still gritty, or there's an inch of gray water in the tub. Sometimes it's a clogged filter and chopped-up food in the drain line. Sometimes it's a tired pump, a leaking door gasket, a cracked spray arm, or a control board that took a hit during a summer storm. Florida water is hard on these machines too — scale builds on heaters and jets. When we come out, we run a cycle, listen, check fill and drain, and look for water where it shouldn't be. Then we tell you what part failed and what fixing it involves. Call us and describe what you saw.

Worth a look before you call — sometimes it saves you the visit.
Odor usually comes from food trapped in the filter, the sump, or a sagging drain hose holding old water. Clean the filter first. If the smell stays, we check the drain path and pump housing for buildup.
Often yes, if the tub and racks are sound and the failure is a pump, valve, or heater. We tell you which part failed and how the machine looks overall, then you decide. No pressure either way.
It can. A surge through the house wiring can take out the control board or touchpad while the motor stays fine. We test the board and the harness before replacing anything larger.
Sometimes. A failed heating element, a stuck vent flap, or a bad thermostat all cause wet dishes. Rinse aid levels and plastic-heavy loads matter too. We check the element and vent to sort out which.
Most calls are handled in one visit once we know the symptom. Diagnosis takes part of that time because we run the machine. If a part has to be ordered, we schedule the return and explain the wait.
Better not to. Small leaks soak subfloor and cabinet bases fast, and that damage costs more than the dishwasher problem. Shut the supply valve under the sink and call us to get it looked at.
Describe what you see, hear, or smell. Buzzing, leaking, burning, or dead silence. Model number helps if you can find the sticker. We ask a few questions and book a window that fits your day.
A technician comes to your kitchen or laundry room, tests the machine, and finds the actual failed part. You hear what went wrong in plain words, then decide whether repair or replacement makes better sense.
With your approval we complete the work, then run the appliance through a real cycle before packing up. Floors get wiped, packaging leaves with us, and you get care tips for our salt air and storms.
Ask these of anyone you let into your home — us included. Call and we'll answer all five before you book anything.
Describe the symptoms and we'll book the visit — takes about a minute.
